FUSIONSTORM ACQUIRES THE ADEXIS DIVISION OF CRANEL, INC.
Acquisition Strengthens Sales and Engineering Divisions in FusionStorm’s Midwest
Region
San Francisco, CA – December 10th, 2009 — FusionStorm — "Making Technology Work"
— a
leading systems integrator and managed services provider announced today that it
has acquired
the Adexis division of Cranel, located in Columbus, Ohio.
Adexis is a technology solutions provider that specializes in systems, storage
and networking
technologies. The firm services hundreds of companies in the Midwest, from
smaller enterprises
to divisions of Fortune 500 companies.
The acquisition enhances FusionStorm’s engineering talent and strengthens the
Midwest sales
teams across all technology business units. In addition to the systems, storage
and networking
expertise that Adexis has been providing for years, clients now have access to
many more
technology solutions from FusionStorm’s technology practices, including managed
services and
managed hosting, data center, virtualization, cloud computing, collaboration,
unified
communications and business continuity.
John Varel, CEO of FusionStorm, said, “I am very excited about this acquisition.
Adexis fits in
perfectly with the FusionStorm strong‐IT‐value model and requires little
integration because
they are very similar to us already. They add some unique talent to the company
and also bring
with them some new partnerships and areas of business that we were not currently
delivering
to our clients.”
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
