FusionStorm Donates SMART Board for Local Public School

FusionStorm donated a SMART Board to a local San Francisco school in order to help first grade classrooms offer interactive learning to its students. The SMART Board™ is an interactive whiteboard that transforms a classroom into an interactive learning environment. They are easy to operate and designed with teachers in mind, and are considered a massive step forward in educating the next generation of student.

Wine Charity Auction at Golf Tournament a Huge Success!

During the 4th Annual Client Partner Technology Golf Tournament, FusionStorm hosted a Wine Auction for the American Cancer Society.

Raffle tickets were sold during the golf tournament to players. After the golf tournament, different varieties of wine packages were auctioned off to participants. Priscilla Walker, Client Executive Strategic Sales, Avnet Technology Solutions, said this about the FusionStorm team. “I have had the pleasure of working with FusionStorm for the past 7 or so years. It has been wonderful to be part of your success! Even with all your growth and expansion frenzy, you have not lost sight of being part of your community and giving something back. Your American Cancer Society Wine Auction is just one example, and I was thrilled to be a small part of that. Congratulations on all your success!” Together with a matching contribution by FusionStorm, $6,400 was raised and donated to the American Cancer Society.

FusionStorm Participates in the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge, Wins T-Shirt Contest

In September 2008 in San Francisco, CA, FusionStorm participated in the final leg of the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge. The race, held at Chrissy Field in the Presidio, was one of a world-wide series of 3.5-mile running events organized to foster company pride and teamwork. FusionStorm also won a t-shirt contest for the event earning $500 for the charity of our choice. FusionStorm matched that $500 and we donated a grand total of $1,000 to the Leukemia Research Foundation. All proceeds of the event went to charity.

FusionStorm Helps UMMA Community Clinic Which Provides Healthcare to the Poor

After being made aware of functionality problems in the UMMA Community Clinic clinic’s telecom system, a team of engineers from FusionStorm recommended that the clinic use a Cisco UC520 system to replace its existing environment, resolve their issues, and provide the added functionality that would complement planned growth and enable further operational maturity. When other fundraising efforts stalled, FusionStorm donated the $27,000 system and $9,000 in services.
